Do not feed your dog one hour before they are scheduled to workout. We will call or text when we are on our way to you. At that time, please let your dog relieve themselves so they are ready to go. We know there will be accidents, but preparation before will limit any mess inside the van.
-
Each session is 30 minutes, personalized to your dogs needs. The first session is scheduled for 40 minutes to let everyone involved get to know each other and be comfortable with the van and treadmill.
-
It depends on your dog. Many will schedule once a week, at the same time. This builds a routine and confidence in the dog. Because you know your dog best, it is best to see how they react to regular exercise and book accordingly.
-
Safety and positivity are our top priorities! We strive to provide your dog with the best workout tailored to their individual needs, ensuring that each day brings a unique experience. During the session, we closely monitor your dog’s movements and encourage them to power the treadmill on their own. We take regular breaks for water and rest, even if your dog seems eager to keep going, to perform safety and health checks. Our equipment is non-motorized, so your dog is in control, and nothing is forced. We’re there every step of the way, ensuring a safe, enjoyable run while offering plenty of positive reinforcement. For the first three sessions, we recommend bringing along some of your dog’s favorite treats and their favorite toy.
-
For most dogs, the learning time is about 5-10 minutes. We train them to balance and walk on the equipment. Once they realize how to move the slats and it will not hurt them, they start to walk on their own. As their confidence builds so does their speed. The sessions are fully supervised for safety. There are no motors, so the dogs are in full control of their pace. Every dog is different, so it might take a few sessions to get them used to the treadmill.
-
Just like people, dogs have their fitness levels. NO, your dog does not have to run to get a fulfilling session. Your dog will get a great workout even if they are not running full speed. At a walk, they are focusing, balancing, and incline climbing for the entire time. Their mind, core and leg muscles are working. Walking on our treadmills is not the same as you walking your dog. Your dog is concentrating about every step they take. It is both physical and mental, and results in a tired dog.
-
For the initial session, yes. Just so everyone can meet each other. Your dog will feel less afraid with you there. After that, you are welcome to leave them with us and enjoy yourself.
-
We ask you clear physical activity with your veterinarian. Your dog needs to be at least 4 months old and up to date on vaccinations. We can accommodate anywhere from 10 lbs-110 lbs.
-
If you cancel up to 12 hrs before the session, there is no fee. If you cancel after 12 hrs, you are responsible for the full amount.
